Sustainability Matters: How Eco-Friendly Packaging is Shaping the Customer Experience

The customer experience is increasingly being shaped by the demand for eco-friendly packaging. According to a survey by The Economist, consumers in North America, Asia, and Europe prefer packaging that is environmentally responsible. The survey also found that one in four respondents believe the chemical industry is least concerned about the environment. Furthermore, 77% of respondents believe plastic is the least environmentally responsible packaging material, while paper is considered the safest. To meet customer expectations, businesses must understand modern consumer trends for sustainable products and packaging. This is evidenced by the 71% increase in online searches for sustainable goods globally in the past five years.
