The Future of Car Buying: Online Experiences and Subscription Models

Mckinsey & Company has just published an insightful article on the emerging trends in the automotive sector that are reshaping the car-buying experience!

From In-Person to Online: Currently, only 3% of customers purchase vehicles fully online. However, a staggering 29% of consumers express interest in buying their next car entirely online, while 23% prefer a mix of online and physical touchpoints (e.g., test drives).

Vehicle Subscription Offerings : Mobility subscription services are gaining traction, with 33% of respondents open to trying a vehicle subscription in the future. Interestingly, both millennials (39%) and Gen Xers (38%) show strong interest in such offerings.
